Ray Romero

Ray Romero, Physical Therapy Assistant

Ray received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training in 1997 from San Jose State University. In 2001, he earned his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from De Anza College. His passion in sports and helping people who are injured motivated him to pursue physical therapy. Ray has been practicing in the field for over 15 years and his experiences has given him the opportunity to rehabilitate many athletes from the local high schools, universities, and professional teams of the Bay Area. Ray was also involved with the Wellness Program for the San Jose Fire Department, the Cowell Health Center at Santa Clara University, and has work with several Bay Area Olympic Athletes. His passion for sports has now inspired him to coach children sports in the Tri-City Area. Besides therapy and rehabilitation, Ray has been coaching the girls’ volleyball and basketball teams at St Joseph’s School at Mission San Jose for the past five years. In 2016, he has started in own children’s sports AAU Club Team called the Bay Area Storm in the Tri-City Area where he coaches competitive volleyball and basketball teams. Ray is happily married and the proud father of two daughters, Rachel and Isabella. If he is not treating patients, coaching children, being a husband, father, and son, he plays basketball and volleyball weekly.
